Once again, I had the privilege of celebrating the feast of St. Benedict at St. John's Abbey in Collegeville, MN. It's always a joy for me to partake in the liturgies of this day with the monks of St. John's.
Benedict has long been a favorite of mine because of his practical spirituality and emphasis on the importance of prayer AND work.
I won't go into too much detail about Benedict and his Holy Rule, as I suspect I'll be posting items about them enough in the future.
I celebrated today by touring a number of churches in the area. Photos to come soon!
