The interior of the auditorium/theatre in November 2008, shortly after we took over the building. Note the lack of fixed seating. The dome area near the stage is also still covered by drop ceiling.
Painted state curtain. This is believed to be original to the building and is from the Kansas City Scenic Company. We are currently examining the best way to preserve this historic piece.
A view of the proscenium arch and uncovered dome.
Stenciling discovered under two layers of false ceiling.
The ropes and pulleys of the fly tower.
A view from the fly tower onto the stage - it's all set for our July 4th Melodrama production!
